Canada Soccer mourns passing of Gary Miller

Halton Hawks FC, is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Gary Miller, who was the Director of Soccer Operations of Ontario Soccer,. Gary passed way Wednesday May 13 at the age of 63.

"Gary leaves behind a tremendous legacy on the sport of soccer in Canada, holding multiple tenures at Ontario Soccer, Canada Soccer and a number of other influential organizations over his illustrious career," Ontario Soccer said in a statement.

"I met Gary 20 years ago when he interviewed me for a coaching position at North Mississauga" said Vasco Nunes, HHFC's Coaching Director , "over the years, we became soccer competitors, but most importantly, we became friends".

"I am extremely sad to hear about Gary's passing, he was always friendly, cordial and professional, we will miss him" added Toni Marin, HHFC's Director.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to Cindy, Gary's wife, his daughters Stephanie, Briana and son Ryan.
